On December 20, 2021, at 9:00 am, an open lesson was held in room 306-A for students of the 2nd course of the Department of Agricultural Economics 120 and 220 on the topic "Four dimensions of food security". It is known that one of the priorities is the development and effective implementation of state policy aimed at ensuring food security for all residents of the country.
In this regard, as a result of a number of measures taken in recent years to strengthen food security in our country, Uzbekistan has managed to strengthen its position in the world and gradually improve its position in this area. In particular, the development and implementation of state policy in the field of food security, including food security and improvement of diet, production of the required amount of food is one of the key issues identified in this Strategy.
In 2019, the growth rate of agricultural production compared to 2018 was 102.5%. In general, in 2017-2019, gross agricultural production increased 1.5 times, and per capita - 1.4 times (in 2019 prices). At the same time, crop production increased 1.3 times, livestock production - 1.7 times.
In turn, agriculture and livestock are grouped by types of crops and livestock.
During the lesson, the students were introduced to the concepts of Food Security and Food Security, and young people expressed their views on this topic. The four main areas of the ,,Four Dimensions of Food Security'' were explored:
