A representative of our university took part in the International Winter School, organized at Farabi University of Kazakhstan.
From January 8 to 19, 2024, the International Winter School was organized at the prestigious Farabi University of Kazakhstan (occupies the 230 position in the international QS WUR ranking) on the theme “Sustainable Development and ESG: Global Challenges, National Priorities, Effective Solutions”. The International Winter School was organized by the Department of Economics of the Higher School of Economics and Business under the leadership of Professor Galiya Rakhmetovna Dauliyeva (https://farabi.university/faculty/14) in honor of the 90th anniversary of Farabi University and as part of the department’s SDG action plan. Well-known foreign scientists from countries such as the USA, Indonesia, Thailand, Serbia, China, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine took part in the Intrnational Winter School. The team of the Department of Economics of the Higher School of Economics and Business took an active part in organizing the winter school. The participants of the winter school were master's students from Northwest A&F University in China, master's students from Ukraine and young scientists from higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan. During the Intenational Winter School, presentations were made by Professor of the American University Michael Brody (USA), Professor of Padjajajaran University Yosini Deliana (Indonesia), Professor of the Kiev National University Alexander Kalinin (Ukraine), Professor of Kasetsart University Ravipim Chaveesuk (Thailand), Head of the HRM Business Academy Natalya Dziuba (Ukraine), professor of the University of Kragujevac Lela Ristic and researcher Milos Dimitrievich (Serbia), together with the representative of the POWERCHINA company in Kazakhstan Yu Hao (China), associate professor of the Samarkand branch of TSUE Ibrahim Ganiev made a report “Transformation of Higher Education in Uzbekistan”. The moderator of the International Winter School was Associate Professor of the Department of Economics Saule Yessengaziyeva. We are confident that our cooperation with the Higher School of Economics and Business and the team of the Department of Economics at Farabi University will contribute to the development of partnerships in the interests of sustainable development.
