Duties of the director of the information resource center:
general management of all activities and employees of the center;
· connecting with national and foreign higher education institutions, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, foreign similar centers, regional ARMs and constantly increasing the ARM library fund;
· control of all bibliographic works;
· Organization of subscription to local and foreign newspapers and magazines for ARM;
· Conducting mutual cooperation relations with HEI ARMs and other ARMs;
· organization of book fairs in the information resource center;
· development of prospective and current work plans;
· Organization of the formation of the fund of the information resource center, its arrangement and maintenance;
· Providing the information resource center with the necessary equipment, as well as its computerization;
· To provide the information resource center with qualified employees, to make proper use of the knowledge and experience of the employees, to take measures to increase their responsibility for the assigned work;
· selection and placement of employees, control of labor and production discipline;
· to authorize the work of the processing and assembly department;
· participation in the development and verification of publishing plans;
· engages in the collection of literature in bibcollectors and bookstores, establishing contact with network OTM and mail order stores to fully integrate the funds of the information resource center;
Directly supervise the cancellation of literature in the information-resource center and receive other books instead of lost ones;
- verification of settlement documents.

Currently, the Information Resource Center has 7 staff units, of which 10 employees work in the center. 1 person has a higher education, 3 people have a secondary-special education, 6 people are branch students in 0.5 staff units. Necessary conditions have been created for all employees to work. Work is carried out in 2 shifts. 1st shift from 7:30 to 15:30, 2nd shift from 12:00 to 20:00.
By a student of our university (former RI-219 group student Bakhranov Ravshan) in order to transfer the Information Resource Center to a modern automated library system starting from the new academic year (2023).
“Onlayn kutubxona” (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uz.ravshanbaxranov.tdiusfkutubxonasi) program was developed and this program was purchased. All the national and foreign literature available in ARM is fully included in this program. Users can enter the program and find out the author, category, language, publisher, number of pages, year and book number of the selected book. The advantage of the program is that it is possible to get information from the general fund in the center anywhere and use the book you want to read by visiting the Information - resource center. The information resource center is connected to the Internet at a speed of 150 Mb/ps. 1 internet (Wi-Fi) zone is created in ARM.
A total of 2,658 users use the service of the Information Resource Center, of which 112 professors and teachers, 24 researchers and researchers, 2,347 undergraduate students, and 102 employees have subscribed. 73 people subscribed from nearby schools and neighborhoods
The information resource center offers the following types of services:
Registration of readers; giving and receiving books; service in the study hall; use of press releases; use, search and presentation of electronic information resources; providing requested books through Telegram groups and channels; introduction to fiction; processing of newly received books; providing services to the population; providing service based on cooperation; repair and quality storage of books; converting printed literature into electronic form; presentation of newly accepted fiction; providing services to users with physical disabilities.
Complete educational literature, general literature and newly accepted literature in the ARM fund are gradually being transferred to electronic form, and an electronic catalog of them has been created. At the moment, Unilibrary, the only "Electronic Library" platform under the ministry for ARM users (https://unilibrary.uz/) has been launched, and on this platform, the electronic form of all the books of the Higher Education Information Resource Center of our Republic is being entered into this platform. The material and technical base of the information resource center, 2 modern classrooms, 1 storage room, 1 computer room (50 new computers), new tables and chairs, book and catalog shelves, cooling devices (air conditioner), 1/3 scanner and 1 CZUR fast scanner were purchased. Employees are provided with separate tables and chairs and computers.
The TDIU Samarkand Branch Information Resource Center has created sufficient conditions for independent research for physically disabled users, there is a set of Braille State Symbols and an information corner, (https://t.me/TDIU_SF_Elektron_kibeters), TDIU_SF_Elektron_kibeters discussion group, (http://lib.sbtsue.uz). it is possible to find the necessary literature through the site and telegram channels, 2036 audio books, poems, stories are included in the telegram channel. Guides for those interested in the English language, art books in English, dictionaries, audio forms of art books in Russian are uploaded. Audio books are constantly replenished
There are 2,437 main and additional educational literature (textbooks and manuals) in the syllabi of 331 subjects taught at the branch, of which 2,178 are available in electronic form and 619 in printed form. (The level of provision of literature in electronic form is 100%)
In 2020-2023, 664 new modern textbooks, textbooks, political and fiction literature in 224 titles were purchased for 102,779,644 soums (136 textbooks in 25 titles, 339 textbooks in 87 titles, 103 179 literary works, 10 political works in 9 works). The information resource center has a material and technical base, the level of supply of literature, and an electronic (QR - code) board has been established in places where students are crowded. All rooms reserved for the information resource center are equipped with a video surveillance device.
