The press service of the branch held an interview to introduce the project "ORCID Global Participation Fund-Community development and Outreach in Uzbekistan".
Parvina Amritdinova: Hello, Zafar Hasanovich. Congratulations to you and your scientific project team for winning the ORCID Global Participation Fund!
  Zafar Hasanovich Abdullayev: Thank you! We are very happy that our branch has won this project. This is the first project of this kind that has been won among HEIs in Uzbekistan. Therefore, this project is of special importance for us.
  Amritdinova Parvina: What is the ORCID Global Participation Fund project and how did you get this project?
  Zafar Hasanovich Abdullayev: The main goal of the ORCID Global Participation Fund program is to introduce the scientific works of scientists and researchers to the world.
  SBTSUE participated in the competition for "ORCID Global Participation Fund" in September 2023. We have submitted a proposal that shows how we want the program to be for Uzbekistan. In January 2024, we were notified that we were among the finalists, and shortly thereafter we were announced as the grant winner.
  Amritdinova Parvina: This is very impressive. Congratulations again! Can you elaborate on the project?
  Zafar Hasanovich Abdullayev: Of course. This is a one-year project led by Dr. Praveen B Malla, an international professor working in our university's Department of Digital Economy and Information Technology. While Professor Malla was appointed Principal Investigator, responsible for the overall project outcomes, I am the administrative assistant, project implementation, finance and overall project implementation process to ensure the smooth running of the project. Senior Lecturer Rafiyeva Bunafsha is our single point of contact for all our internal and external project stakeholders and is also responsible for conducting project-related webinars/seminars. In addition, he promotes the content of the project and its objectives and communicates with stakeholders. The technological part of the project is managed by Mirzokhhid Yoldoshev, an employee of the department of scientific affairs and innovations. He will primarily be responsible for researching ORCID API workflows and ensuring technical integration of ORCID APIs with the University's electronic systems.
