The competition "Two geniuses of two centuries" was held at the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State University of Economics.
On February 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., the 583rd anniversary of the birth of Alisher Navoi, a great thinker, outstanding state and public figure, who made an incomparable contribution to the development of the country, people's well-being, spirituality and culture, at the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State University of Economics and in order to widely celebrate the 541st anniversary of the birth of the great statesman, skillful commander, scientist and poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, the "Two geniuses of one century" competition was held by the "Uzbek language and foreign languages" department. 3 national teams took part in the competition - "Uzbegim", "Moziy" and "Intellect".
Zuhrabegim Eshankulova, chief specialist of the Samarkand region branch of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, and poetess Anora Utamurodova were guests at the event. The branch director, professor O. Murtazayev, opened the event with an introduction
The competition was intense and full of impressions.
The following teams won and were awarded diplomas and souvenirs by the branch administration:
“Intellekt” team won 1st place
"Moziy" team won 2nd place
The 3rd place was taken by the "O'zbegim" team.
