On November 20, 2023, a roundtable discussion on the topic "Fight against corruption and human trafficking" was organized with the participation of A.A. Akhmedov, chief specialist of the anti-corruption "Compliance" control department, education consultant N.A. Ashirbayeva and students of BH-121,221,321 group. done. In the roundtable discussion, a number of measures are being implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan to prevent and fight against human trafficking, which is one of the most pressing issues today. At the same time, taking into account that human trafficking is a transnational crime, that is, a crime that does not choose territory and borders, our country adopted on December 12, 2003 by the UN General Assembly in 1950 "On Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and the Use of Prostitution by Third Parties" joined the Convention. The Convention on Combating Transnational Organized Crime, adopted by the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly on November 15, 2000, as well as the prevention and control of trafficking in persons, especially women and children additional protocol on putting and punishing for it was also ratified. It would be wrong to consider human trafficking only as a problem of the Republic of Uzbekistan, because nowadays crimes related to human trafficking are widespread in many countries and cause concern to the whole world community. the saddest thing is the widespread crime related to human trafficking: the segments of the population in need of social protection - unemployed citizens, women who have many difficulties in their married life, and minors who are left out of the attention and care of their parents. is that they are using it for their own selfish purposes, pretending to solve their problems. The fight against corruption remains one of the most urgent issues of today's world. The fight against this disease covers many countries of the world. The Republic of Uzbekistan also contributes to the fight against corruption. At present, a number of programs have been adopted in the framework of the fight against corruption in our republic, and extensive work is being carried out on them, he said. During the roundtable discussion, students received detailed answers to all the questions they were interested in.
