Students of Samarkand branch of Tashkent State University of Economics organized a tour around the city.
On September 14, 2023, within the framework of the domestic tourism project, Sh. Umurzokov together with the 1st year students traveled to the sights of Samarkand city. The purpose of the trip is to carry out travel, pilgrimage, visit activities and to educate minors and young people in the spirit of loyalty to the Motherland, to use the opportunities of cultural institutions and historical monuments to form a sense of belonging to the Motherland in them, and to familiarize them closely with the creative works carried out in Samarkand in recent years. During the trip, the students received valuable information about our cultural heritage, national values, the ancient way of life of our people, and our great history. Including the fact that the city of Samarkand is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as an excellent example of Eastern architecture, the Registan ensemble, one of the most important places of interest in the city, the Gori-Amir mausoleum built at the beginning of the 15th century, the Ruhabad mausoleum, the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan They received full information about the statue of Islam Abdugyanevich Karimov by the workers of the field. The historical monuments of the city of Samarkand left a great impression on the students.
