ISLAM IS A RELIGION OF PEACE AND ENLIGHTENMENT
Today, in our country, measures to fight against destructive foreign ideologies are carried out based on the grand idea of "enlightenment against ignorance". As stated in the Decree of the head of our state "On measures to fundamentally improve the activities of the religious and educational sphere", based on the idea of "enlightenment against ignorance", religion is equated with violence and bloodshed. It is envisaged to increase the level of awareness of the population, especially the youth, about the true nature and goals of destructive alien ideas, and to create an atmosphere of intolerance in the society towards ideas alien to our national and religious values.
On February 22 of this year, in cooperation with representatives of the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State University of Economics and the Imam Bukhari International Research Center, an event was organized on the topic "Islam - the religion of peace and enlightenment" for professors and teachers and students. First Deputy Director of Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Education Affairs H. Turdibekov, Deputy Director of Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center - (PhD), O. Muhammadiev, Imam Bukhari Khagaro Scientific Research Center head of the department - T.Evadullaev, adviser to the director on ensuring the stability of the social and spiritual environment G'.Kurbanov, head of the youth work, spirituality and enlightenment department Y. Isomiddinov participated and gave lectures on relevant topics.
In the lectures, the relations of the state with religion and religious organizations in Uzbekistan, the peace-loving essence of Islam and the condemnation of bigotry and ignorance in Islam, the importance of the idea of fighting "enlightenment against ignorance" are discussed separately. attention was drawn.
Also, at the event, the essence of inter-ethnic harmony and religious tolerance, the negative aspects of bigotry, extremism and terrorism, the history of the emergence of destructive currents and movements operating under the guise of Islam, their goals, ideological and ideological bases, financial sources, operating methods and un-Islamic nature were revealed on the basis of extensive information and evidence.
