In cooperation with the Samarkand Regional Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and scientists of higher educational institutions in the city of Samarkand, a roundtable discussion was organized on the topic "Ecological problems from the eyes of scientists".
On February 6 of this year, a roundtable discussion on the topic "Ecological problems from the eyes of scientists" was held in the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State University of Economics in cooperation with the Samarkand Regional Council of the Environmental Party of Uzbekistan and scientists of higher educational institutions in the city of Samarkand.
At this controversial event, proposals and projects were presented to eliminate environmental problems and, at the same time, to develop measures to increase economic efficiency by solving problems.
At this event, the director of TDIU Samarkand branch, professor O. Murtazayev opened with an introduction.
Collaborating organizations and businessmen took part in the roundtable discussion together with scientists and agreed on issues such as implementation and financing of scientists' projects aimed at solving environmental problems.
Issues discussed at the roundtable discussion:
Current environmental issues in the Samarkand region within the green space;
Environmental problems in veterinary and animal husbandry;
Principles of sustainable development;
Focus on food security and organic farming (in the case of chickpeas)
Environmental problems and integrated (IPM) system in the fight against pests and diseases of agricultural crops;
Issues of using plants in biological treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater;
Since the independence of Uzbekistan, socio-political, socio-economic changes and large-scale creative work aimed at achieving sustainable development of the country and increasing the welfare of the people have been carried out consistently.
In the past, neglecting the state of the environment, excessive use of natural resources and neglecting ecological requirements, drying up of the Aral Sea, desertification, degradation of land and water resources, deterioration of the gene pool of flora and fauna, biological It has led to the emergence of a number of global and regional environmental problems, such as the reduction of diversity, the generation of large amounts of industrial, domestic and other waste.
During the years of independent development, our country has gained a certain experience in solving environmental problems and eliminating their negative consequences. In the field of ecology, environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, a fundamental regulatory legal framework has been formed that meets advanced international requirements. About 30 laws were adopted in this field and more than 300 normative documents were approved. However, the scale of the tasks in this field requires the development and implementation of a state policy aimed at improving the ecological situation in the country and uniting all the efforts of the society in solving the problems that have arisen. The Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, which embodies the positive experiences and actions of national and foreign public organizations and actions in the field of environment and public health protection, and the opinions of scientists, is able to fulfill this high task and will be the leader.
The main goals of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan are as follows:
- Ensuring the realization of the state policy aimed at achieving the sustainable development of the country, environmental security, creating a comfortable environment for the current and future generations, and preserving natural resources;
- Helping to ensure that environmental protection and preservation of natural resources become the duty of the state, society and every citizen of the country.
Promotion of political initiatives through the faction of the party in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, party groups and deputies in the Dzhokorgi Kenesi of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and representative bodies of local state power;
Activation of processes of transition to "green economy" in the country, implementation of renewable and other alternative energy sources, environmentally friendly (low-emission) technologies and innovative solutions; development of cooperation with state bodies, enterprises and institutions, political parties, NGOs, mass media, citizens' self-government bodies and other institutions of civil society in the implementation of practical measures for the protection of the environment and public health, rational use of natural resources ;
