An educational event was held at the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State University of Economics on the topic of "Protecting young people from fanaticism on the basis of enlightenment against ignorance".
At this event, which took place on November 7 of this year, the first deputy director for youth issues and spiritual and educational affairs - Kh. Kurbanov Gayrat Mamatkulovich, Boymurodov Sohibnazar - "Head of the Religious Affairs Committee" of the Samarkand Regional Government, B. Bakhodirov - Branch youth leader, professors, teachers, tutors and students participated.
The event was opened by the deputy director of TDIU SF, Kh.I. Turdibekov - with an introduction. Uzbekistan is considered to be a great country in the future and has undergone certain stages of development. During this time, along with good ideas, negative ideas have entered this country. Such negative and destructive ideas include religious extremism and terrorism. The essence of any extremist and terrorist activity is to achieve the malicious goals of others through the use of violence, intimidation, and physical force against the domination of others or the existing political-ideological, socio-economic order. The modern threat posed by religious extremism and international terrorism to the security of the Central Asian region requires increasing the moral and legal culture of citizens in the fight against terrorism. Terrorism is literally ignorance. International terrorism based on subversive ideas and all its manifestations are causing heavy burdens on the heads of all peoples, both in the past and in the present. Every year, more than a thousand innocent people are killed by its aggression, the development of society seriously threatens the progress of some countries, regions and human civilization, and its spread also causes the rise of extremism and terrorism on a global scale. The Samarkand regional hokimity gave his turn to the "Head of the Department of Religious Affairs".

S. Boymurodov began his lecture after showing a video on the topic "Negative consequences of extremism" - Extremism and terrorism have become one of the most dangerous social evils that entered the 21st century together with humanity. The fact that extremism rejects tolerance, diversity, and common-mindedness and undermines the country's development and inter-civilian solidarity. Fanatics not only harm the political, economic or cultural spheres of social life, but also exert psychological pressure on the society in a massive way and spread the ideology of violence and aggression in the most terrible forms. From this point of view, one of the vital issues facing the state and society is to prevent religious conflicts in the society, to prevent any movement aimed at derailing the social stability in the country through the politicization and falsification of religion. Today, extremism and terrorism have become a serious threat to the national security of individual countries and the world community as a whole. It is a fact recognized by most countries that extremism and terrorism, which have become a universal problem, can be overcome by the world community only by working together, renouncing various narrow geopolitical interests.

President Sh. M. Mirziyoev also said on this issue: "At the same time, the turbulent situation in some regions of the world leads to the increase of population migration, which, in turn, leads to the spread of terrorism and extremism and their becoming one of the global problems. In such a situation, preserving our national statehood, independence, peaceful and peaceful life and security of our population is becoming the highest priority for us.

It should be noted that various extremist and terrorist organizations continue their activities aimed at disrupting the socio-political situation in Central Asian countries. In this regard, the honorable President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev drew the attention of the world community to further strengthen practical cooperation in order to ensure security and stability in Central Asia, to effectively fight against the threats of terrorism and extremism, transnational crime and drug trafficking, using the methods of UN preventive diplomacy. also focuses on the fact that it can be ensured within the framework of the mechanisms of the CIS, SCO, OSCE and other influential international and regional structures, on the need to abandon the separation of security threats into "one's own and those of others", and to observe the principle of "comprehensive security" in practice. The fact that the evil of extremism and terrorism is growing more and more recently has given information about how urgent this problem is.
A video dedicated to the negative consequences of religious extremism, the pitiful fate of our compatriots who were tricked into the war in Syria and Iraq was shown.
G. Kurbanov - at the end of the event - the fight against extremism and awareness in the modern world is one of the aspects that should be paid attention to in the first place. Today, our youth can become a very powerful weapon if it falls into the hands of malicious people. There is a lot of coverage of crimes related to the spread of extremist information among young people through social networks and the Internet. If you pay attention to the details, small information that is considered insignificant at first glance causes moral and spiritual damage to people. In order to avoid disappointments, everyone should have general information about personal and family collective security. In the current period of development of Internet technologies, the safety of us and our youth remains an area that must be perfectly taught not only to adults, but also to children.
At the end, the participants of the event received detailed answers to the questions they were interested in.
