About the project: The project aims to modernize the content of higher education to promote the development of such national systems of agri-food production, in which farms will apply internationally recognized good agricultural practices (GAP) and principles and approaches of sustainable agribusiness management, thus increasing the agri-food sector, efficiency and the competitiveness of the industry (primary production and pre-processing), and supporting business development, providing residents with quality food with a clean environment and indirectly contributing to regional and rural development.
Objectives of the AgroDev project:
- high-quality training content, developed using the latest scientifically based knowledge;
- highly qualified teaching staff, following the latest scientific developments and using effective pedagogical methods;
- productive and mutually supportive cooperation and related industries in which knowledge is transferred in their own directions.
The project contributes to the achievement of the following objectives:
- Modernization of bachelor's degree curricula related to agri-food production at 4 universities in Central Asia;
- Training of qualified specialists in the field of the agri-food industry;
- Development of the potential of the academic staff of universities;
- Improvement of material resources - educational laboratories and literature;
- Establishing links between higher education institutions and agricultural producers.
