On April 6, the opening ceremony of the new student residence building, built on the basis of public-private partnership, with modern, comfortable conditions for students of Samarkand branch of Tashkent State University of Economics, was held.

The new residential building for students, which has been put into use, has all the conveniences and is built in a modern style. At the opening ceremony, the Rector of TDIU, Doctor of Economics Teshabayev Tolkin Zakirovich, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Buzrukkhanov Sarvarkhan Munavarkhanovich and representatives of Samarkand region hokimity, members of partner organizations, branch management, honorary teachers and students will participate.

In order to ensure the implementation of the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 563 dated September 9, 2021, construction of a 400-bed student residence on the basis of PPP in the territory of the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State University of Economics, located at 51 Professor Street, Samarkand city done. Construction work began in April 2023, and the student residential building is planned to be commissioned in April 2024.

The value of the facility is 25,858 billion. amounting to soums, the source of funds was 50% subsidy, 50% from the entrepreneur's own funds.
