A roundtable discussion dedicated to "Tolerance Week" - International Day of Tolerance was held at Samarkand branch of Tashkent State University of Economics
"Week of religious tolerance and inter-ethnic harmony" was held at the Samarkand branch of Tashkent State University of Economics. Students, youth, educational advisers and deputy deans for spiritual and educational affairs took part in the event. The event was opened by the head of the department for youth issues and spiritual and educational affairs T.A. Yuldashev. The head of the department of natural, social and physical culture O'Khudayarov gave a speech at the event. According to the report, the educational event organized as part of today's "Tolerance Week" served to further strengthen the feeling of a multi-ethnic big family, inter-ethnic harmony and religious tolerance at the university. Constitutional guarantees have been established for the full realization of their potential and protection of their rights and interests of representatives of different nationalities and religions. First of all, special attention was paid to ensuring equal rights and freedoms of citizens regardless of their gender, race, nationality, language, religion, social origin, faith, personal and social status, and their equality before the law. In this field, the main principles of the state policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan include equal rights of citizens, social justice, rule of law, mutual respect for cultural, linguistic and religious values, traditions and customs of nations and peoples. They said that regardless of race, nationality, language, religion, social background, it provides participation in public and state building.
