On November 4, 2023, students and educational advisors of the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State University of Economics participated in the XVI Verona Eurasian Economic Forum in Samarkand together with the "Let's learn Europe" international association and the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan. . As part of the forum's cultural program, on November 1-4, in cooperation with the Cinematography Agency under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Cinematography Development Center, N.I.C.E. (New Italian Cinema Events) is a festival of new Italian films. The festival has been established for more than 30 years, it debuted in the USA in 1988, and in Russia in 1993. N.I.C.E. association is one of the first organizations to export high-quality debut Italian films and has been organizing the most important film festivals abroad for many years. The aim of this association is to promote new Italian films abroad by organizing festivals and cultural exchanges. Another main goal of the festival is to show the value of cultural diversity through cinema. Feature, short and documentary films of Italian filmmakers carefully selected to be shown at the festival are a true reflection of stories about Italian life and culture. The opening ceremony of the festival was held on November 1 in the "Eastern Star" cinema in Samarkand. Also, within the framework of the festival, the films "The long way" ("La lunga corsa") were shown in Italian and with Uzbek subtitles.
