An established a double degree program "2 + 2" format in "Food stuff Management"an according by the cooperation agreement between Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences and Samarkand branch of the Tashkent State University of Economics on August 5, 2019, which 50 students enrolled. The first group of 25 students started classes from October 1, and additional 25 students enrolled from November 1, under heightened tuition fee bases, a due to high demand of from applicants.

In 2019-2020 academic year, Professor P. Mixels and I. Smetanska from Weihenstephan-TriesdorfUniversity of Applied Sciences, Germany, Professor Martin Petrick fromJustus Liebig University Giessen, Germany, Professor K.R.Kim from the Kangwon National University,Republic of Korea, Dr. N. Djanibekov and Dr. G. Sanaev from the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Development in Transition Countries of Germany, and Dr. Matthews from the University College Writl are expected to visit to the branch in order to teach and improve teaching and methodological support.

On 11-14 december, 2019 Samarkand branch of TSUE are planning to meet Hirosaki University delegation from Japan. The aims of the visit this delegation are on the framework cooperation with JICA signing of a memorandum between these two higher education institutions, implementation of international projects on higher education, implementation of student exchange programs.
