The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan held talks with Yokohama National University on the participation of Uzbeks in the University's scholarship and grant programs.
According to the Japanese side, the university currently has a Global Doctoral Program for Academic Career Support (GDACS) for those wishing to enter the doctoral program in October 2022 or April 2023 (more information https: // www .ynu.ac.jp / english / admissions / scholarship / gdacs /).
The program is designed for university teachers in developing countries, exempts students from entrance and tuition fees, and provides a monthly stipend of 100,000 yen (approximately $ 1,000) for successful students.
The following schools of Yokohama National University (YMU) participate in this program:
International School of Social Sciences
High School of Engineering
High School of Environment and Information Sciences
Urban Innovation High School.
Requirements for candidates:
1) complete a master's degree and obtain a master's degree;
2) have high academic achievements;
3) excellent knowledge of Japanese or English;
4) to be motivated to return to his / her educational institution after obtaining a doctoral degree and to develop educational and research cooperation between YMU and this institution.
If applicants meet all the requirements, they must prepare the necessary documents, find a future academic advisor and submit the documents.
