Regional environmental problems arise as a result of the intensifying interaction between nature and society in regions with highly developed industry and agriculture. These ecological problems drastically change the natural environment and affect the health of the population.
On February 6, 2023, in the meeting hall of the TDIU Samarkand branch, in cooperation with the Samarkand Regional Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan and scientists of higher educational institutions in Samarkand, a roundtable discussion on the topic "Ecological problems from the eyes of scientists" was held by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on February 2, 2022 "On measures to increase the efficiency of reforms aimed at the transition of the Republic of Uzbekistan to a "green" economy by 2030" from December, "Transition to a "green" economy and ensuring "green" growth in the Republic of Uzbekistan by 2030" contained in the decision No. PQ-436 on" is aimed at ensuring the execution of the tasks specified in the Action Plan, as well as forming knowledge and skills among the public about the causes and factors of environmental problems.
Within the framework of the event, presentations on the following topics were made by the Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan Samarkand region and scientists of higher educational institutions in the city of Samarkand.
- Current environmental issues in the Samarkand region within the green space;
- Environmental problems in veterinary and animal husbandry;
- Principles of sustainable development;
- Attention to food safety and organic farming;
- Environmental problems and integrated (IPM) system in the fight against pests and diseases of agricultural crops;
- Issues of using plants in biological treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater;
 
In the discussion and proposals of the round table discussion on the topic "Ecological problems from the eyes of scientists", the current environmental problems, the sources and factors that cause them, their main causes, biological and ecological changes in the biosphere due to changes in natural conditions, the formation and specificity of regional and local environmental problems, environmental problems natural and anthropogenic causes of its origin, greenhouse effect, effects of climate warming on population health, soil and water degradation, environmental problems in veterinary and animal husbandry, consequences of future changes in natural conditions, measures to prevent environmental problems, problems related to environmental change in Uzbekistan , information was given about international environmental problems control and laws on preservation of natural climate conditions.
